Laura Cavazos, MA, LPC-Associate

Laura has worked extensively with children, teens, and parents with mental health challenges such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and complex trauma/PTSD. Laura was an educator for 10 years before pursuing a graduate degree in counseling.

Utilizing a client-centered approach, Laura incorporates various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to meet the unique needs of each client.

Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Master of Education in Counseling. She is supervised by Russel Armstrong, LPC-S, license number 66423.

As a school counselor, Laura is amazing at helping parents who need coaching on how to navigate their child's needs in the school. She gives parents guidance to better support their child's emotional and behavioral needs.
